The organizers of “Night of Museums and Galleries - Plovdiv 2009” and Photo Forum
announce photo contests on the following topics: “ Night on the City” and  “A night in Plovdiv”

“Night on the City” 
The contest is from 03-rd to 30-th of September in the site of Photo Forum.

The participants are able to upload pictures in the theme gallery from 03-rd to 24-th of September, and the site visitors can rate the photos by voting.

The most impressive ones will be printed and exhibited during the Night of Museums and Galleries itself on the 2-nd of October.

Conditions for participation:

The contest period

– uploading of the photos 03.09.2009 – 24.09.2009
– additional period for voting

Participants – all registered Photo Forum users may participate in the contest. They can upload their photos in the created for the purpose gallery in accordance with their week site quote.

Voting – only users who have at least 5 pictures with minimum 20 “A rating” points till the 01-st of September 2009 can vote for the pictures of the contest. (The purpose of this restriction is to prevent the vote manipulations by “reserved” and “multiple” registrations).

The winners – they are chosen by the users’ ”A rating” votes in the site.
Prizes – One prize is awarded – digital camera Sony DSC-HX1

Selection for the exhibition – the organizers select the photos which have passed  a define rating level and which can be provided with quality necessary for printing, with minimum dimensions 30x40cm.

Additional conditions:

-  To be qualified as appropriate for the exhibition a photo should be with quality necessary for printing, with minimum dimensions 30x40cm.

- The winner is obliged to provide the original of the photo with quality necessary for printing, with minimum dimensions 30x40cm. In case he or she cannot provide the original, the prize will be awarded to the next highly rated participant.

- Persons related with Photo Forum, Night of Museums and Galleries – Plovdiv 2009, and Sony cannot participate in the prize awarding.

If there is any attempt for manipulating the rating system, the participant will be disqualified.

The Chosen photos will be printed and exhibited  during the Night of Museums and Galleries on the 2-nd of October 2009, from 19:00 till 3:00hrs.   

“A night in Plovdiv”

The contest “A night in Plovdiv” is from 02-nd to 15-th of October 2009 and the participants should provide pictures made during the night of the event - “Night of Museums and Galleries” on the 02-nd of October, from 19:00 till 3:00hrs, and which are uploaded in the Photo Forum site – http://photo-forum.net

The participants are able to upload pictures in the theme gallery, and the site visitors can rate the photos by voting. The winners will be chosen by the Photo Forum site users’ voting.

Conditions for participation:

- In the contest can participate digital images, uploaded in the theme gallery of the http://photo-forum.net site.

- The pictures can be made with digital and photo cameras.

- The electronic images should be in jpg format.

- Each participant may present maximum to 4 pictures

Prizes:

The organizers will grant a PIXMA MP800 printer, provided by Cantec company.
